Get your motor running...And do you know what, it's nearly ready for the "head out on the highway" bit. Chris and Wendy came to visit today and Chris brought his mammoth box of tricks with him. Never has one man had such a big box of tools. Just as well too.
Without too much swearing but a fair old amount of teeth gnashing, we managed - whilst battling the elements (see the bivvy picture) to get the throttle linkage sorted and fit the new (old) accelerator pedal. The old fella (the van, not Chris) is now running fairly sweetly and should be ready to hit the garage for that all important pre-sale MOT test in the not too distant future.
I have, of course, mixed feelings about this but I'm sure it's all for the best really...

Wow. Last post 14th November.
Well, still here. Just. I've been horribly busy and the bus has been sadly neglected. A bit like this blog. There's not been much happening other than the bus bailing us out a tight car-related spot over Christmas.
Until today.
The old fella wouldn't start so I called the AA. The throttle linkage appears to have gone as it's been sitting. Ho hum. Will try to get it back on the road...though possibly only to (whisper it) get ready to sell. Gulp.
Thank goodness for AA Home Start. Though the photos make me sad. (Or am I simply sad for taking them?)
