Get your motor running...And do you know what, it's nearly ready for the "head out on the highway" bit. Chris and Wendy came to visit today and Chris brought his mammoth box of tricks with him. Never has one man had such a big box of tools. Just as well too.
Without too much swearing but a fair old amount of teeth gnashing, we managed - whilst battling the elements (see the bivvy picture) to get the throttle linkage sorted and fit the new (old) accelerator pedal. The old fella (the van, not Chris) is now running fairly sweetly and should be ready to hit the garage for that all important pre-sale MOT test in the not too distant future.
I have, of course, mixed feelings about this but I'm sure it's all for the best really...

The view from the front window...

The very nice man from Morar Motors met me off the ferry today to give me my fully MOT tested bus (complete with some advisory notes, but we'll gloss over them for the moment).
I then had to give him a lift back to the garage - what a hoot! Great service, bizarre, but great...
I parked the bus in Mallaig where I was collecting the car. The poor van hasn't been left with much of a view though...

C'mon the bus!
During last week's school trip, I managed to get the van into Morar Motors to go through its MOT test. Not too concerned but, equally, not too hopeful.
However, phone call today...PASSED! Go on the bus! Lovely stuff.
Picking it up on Monday. Nice.
