Don't let the bar-stewards grind you down.

Well, we haven't. The bus hit the road again tonight, 99% finished (just the vinyl floor to lay) and looking - if I do say so myself -pretty good. In true camper van style, things didn't go too smoothly. We leapt up from our roast chicken dinner to jump in the van and zoom (ahem) off to the beach about 9 miles from the house. We packed the bus with water, matches, cups, teabags, homemade scones and two small children.

The van made good time and we piled out leaving Gail to brew up. No sooner had we set found on the shingle than the van window opened and I was summoned back to have a look at the gas. It had been so long since I'd used it that I had to step outside to try to think how it all worked...the problem being that I already knew we had it right so that meant there had to be a problem of some sort.

Hey ho, an empty gas bottle. Wouldn't you just know it? I suppose not having filled it since August 2005 after the Ireland trip has something to do with it...

Still, important to have gotten out and about and we did at least manage a cuppa and that scone on our return.

The Banana Bus is back. Watch this space.
