2nd floor, Upholstery, Haberdashery and Thingummyjigs...
So, the foam finally arrived. Much excitement. So excited were we that we left it for days and days without opening it in case it was the wrong size. Logic? Not here matey! I think what we actually reckoned was that if we opened it we'd have to find sapce for it. "Put it in the camper van!" I hear you say. "No, it's full of paint and mess and the old cushions!" say I.
Anyway...I've sorted all the painting - with a bit of help from Ben - and it looks very spacious. All that remains (Ha! Like it's a wee, tiny job!) is to put the cupboards back on, put down the new flooring and get the seating re-upholstered. Easy.
As for that upholstery type stuff, as I sit here typing, Gail and her friend Hollie (a bit of a seamstress whizz!) are sitting on the floor surrounded by cushions and yards and yards of fabric trying to work out how the hell CI/Autohomes went about getting the material to sit nicely on the plywood sections of the fold out bed. It all sounds a bit complicated to me with talk of "selvedges", "welts" and "French stitching."
I get confused at pinking shears.
How and ever, no doubt it will all come together and we shall eventually get ourselves back in the van and on the road in a very stylish stylee.
