Still trying...
...to sort things out with the van. We've decided not to go down the insurance route as it would knacker our premiums which should just be getting back to normal soon after the claim for the legendary exploding pop top.
Anyhow...we're sourcing some nice upholstery material which is easier said than done. You can look and look online all you want (and believe me, we have!) but there's no substitute for actually being able to see and feel what you're getting. A trip to Glasgow to stroke some materials is calling...
The foam for the cushions and to replace Ben's bed upstairs which was wrecked should be simple enough but for the fact that the supplier's website has been down for most of the day and I'd set myself the task of putting the order in tonight. Not to worry...we'll get it sorted.
In a spirit of tarting the van up generally I'd like to replace the rubber "guttering" on the front of the bus which is all cracked. I think it's called an "A pillar" or something like that. Alas the suppliers seem to have ceased trading so I'll have to look around on Ebay or some other online megastore.
I'm feeling a bit like a certain 80's TV ad...
