Good God! How ridiculous – I’ve not done anything with this in an age. Anyone would think I’d been busy or something…

LOADS has been going on on the bus front:

- Feel the excitement of that big-group stopover at Resipole Farm;
- Marvel at the fact that the AA man who came to help Gail with the dodgy brake light connection owns a T25;
- Gasp at the expense involved in fitting a new fuel tank and filler neck at a backstreet garage in Edinburgh (used them before, usually good, not so happy this time though…see below);
- Wonder how the hell we can be bothered with the van after it needs to go into the local garage to investigate the fuel smell (grr! See above) and be told that a clip (or three) hadn’t been attached and that unspent fuel was dripping onto a hot exhaust;
- Join us in going “wahey! I’m on holiday” and wait to find out how we get on in Mull…

So, that’s the plan – quick trip over to Mull for a day or two this week during the half term break. The trip to the ferry at Lochaline only takes 25 minutes by car – I teach there one day a fortnight – but in the bus it will probably be double that – there is a serious hill en route and I reckon we’ll struggle to exceed 20mph on the climb…ho hum. We can always stop half way up for a brew. We’re planning to stay here.

I really must upload the photos from the summer jaunts and get things sorted out. It seems like I’ve just had no time and, of course, when it’s one own phone bill and the connection speed is so slow, one is less inclined to be online. Which is why I’m doing this in word and I’ll copy & paste it in in a moment.

Right, off to fire up the steam-drive modem and slip onto the information superhighway…though round here the virtual roads are as twisty and slow as the real ones. As a man once said, “I may be some time…”
