Back online again tonight but I'm unable to upload the pictures which Chris has kindly emailed to me due to restrictions on this computer...I've tried all sorts of fancy right clicking and cut and paste variations but alas it's no use. Another time...

Anyway, the bus brought me and my stuff up to Ardnamurchan a couple of weekends back and this time we took our own advice and avoided the campsite at Strontian, opting for Resipole Farm instead.

A far superior site, we were treated to Lochside views (Loch Sunart - the pictures are great, really...) and an onsite shop. I have to say though, I was a little dismayed at the lack of chickens and smelly caravans.

We coralled the vehicles and had Linda and Nige, plus Molly and Ruari in their (huge) tent and Peugot 406 opposite us; Chris, Wendy, smaller tent and VW Golf to one side and 3 large bushes to the other...wild west stylee.

First up, as ever, was the ceremonial brewing up of the Camper Van tea - this, as any campervanner will tell you, is better than any other tea. Anywhere. This weekend's was especially good as we were using the small, Polish enamel teapot.

After some sitting about, being bitten to death by horrendous midgies, we got the barbecue going, cooking so much food we were still eating it on Sanna Bay the following day, accompanied of course by the obligatory cuppa, brewed on the portable stove. Do we know how to rough it or what?

Back to Saturday, though, and after everyone - all nine of us - had squeezed into the van to escape the midgies we decided to explore the bar...
