Well...Friday was a day of much excitement. I was getting ready to leave when Sandra at Mill Garage called to say that no authorisation had been forthcoming from the insurers so nothing could be done at the garage.
Much wailing and gnashing of teeth (and numerous phone calls to the engineer's voicemail) later, I set off for Duns anyway.
Jimmy and Will, the very helpful blokes at the garage, reckoned the work would be no bother and they even had the roof there already! It looks like this one:
I decided just to leave the bus and let them get on with it when authorisation eventually comes through. Had some time to kill before a bus to Berwick (so I could get the train to Edinburgh) and stopped off for lunch here.
Fact: I had my sandwich at the table under the fan.
